Meet the Kitchen Staff
All Bristol Bay Lodge staff are CPR and First Aid certified. Members of the guide team are licensed with the Alaska Department of Fish and Game and as a minimum must hold a Coast Guard issued Limited Operator of Uninspected Passenger Vessels (OUPV) Guide License on the Freshwaters and Rivers of Western Alaska. All employees are hand selected based on individual character and trained by Management and senior members of the staff. Safety in everything we do is Bristol Bay Lodge’s number one priority.

Quinn Ryan Quinn Ryan - Head Chef
Quinn got his first restaurant job in high school and has been cooking professionally for over 10 years now. He first came to work for Bristol Bay Lodge in 2003, as the Rainbo Camp cook. The experience of living and working in the remote Alaskan wilderness always stuck with Quinn and when the opportunity to return as Head Chef came in 2010, he did hesitate to take it. During his culinary career, Quinn has worked for several high end restaurants and hotels including the 5 Star Broadmoor Hotel in Colorado Springs, the Great Southern Hotel in Killarney, Ireland, and as Executive Chef and part owner of Garlic Mike's in Montrose, Colorado. Quinn has an AS in Culinary Arts from Johnson and Wales University and a BA in Business Management and Accounting from Western State College. When he is not cooking in Alaska, Quinn lives in Southern California where he enjoys his other passion, coaching high school wrestling.
